About the Position Role overviewWe are currently recruiting an experienced Shift Electrical Engineer to join our prestigious critical environment contract near Farringdon, LondonThe Electrical Technician will have experience working in a corporate / banking environment and preferably previous experience of working on trading floors or a bank. Good communication and customer service skills are also essential.The Shift pattern is continental, Days and Nights. (7-7)Responsibilities You will Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance and extra works/emergencies in accordance with the contract requirements on Electrical Services and associated systemsA key success factor in the Shift Technicians role is communication, particularly in reporting plant problems / failures that may impact on the clients business. It is essential that the details of all plant problems / failures are communicated to Shift Leader immediately.Ensure that all plant and BMS checks are completed on time, and all problems found are recorded and communicated to the Shift LeaderBe proactive with regard to preventative maintenance and good site husbandry.Respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Helpdesk related reactive maintenance issues, associated with the electrical infrastructure and the heating and ventilation systems, pumps, water tanks, valves, pipe work and associated mechanical systems or as directed.Respond to call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with the electrical and mechanical services aspects of the contract as required.Repairs of electrical and mechanical systems, controls and associated systems.Provide reports in relation to work and equipment as required.RequirementsYou will have Experienced in the Electrical aspects of general building Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedulesCity and Guilds 236 Parts 1&2 OR equivalent City and Guilds 2382-15 18th EditionIdeally all candidates would have completed a Electrical apprenticeshipIdeally all candidates should have undertaken an Electrical apprenticeshipIOSH Working / Managing Safely (Desirable)Safe system of Work Procedure PTW RAMS etc (Desirable)L8 Training (Desirable)About Us We are one of the leading independent engineering and services businesses in the UK.
